My bike overheated on me today......so fairing off and what do I see, my bloody coolant sensor wire hanging off. At least it was an easy fix with a quick squeeze on the crimper's.

Discovered a rattle from my motor when spinning higher than 6k rpm :(

Could my ccts need a wee tighten up? I've covered around 5k miles since installing them and also there doesn't seem to be any rattle when cold or on tickover...

Could do with checking my valve clearances too :(

Just wanna ride it now and check out all the totty, not cut me knuckles open in the 25°c garage :(

I'd have said there'd be more camchain rattle when the engine is cold Jamie if its that!?

That's what I figured :(

Dunno what this could be. I might strip the cam covers off and double check chain tension, as I have given the ccts a 6th of a turn and it still rattles.

Mine developed a rattle yesterday Between 4200rpm and 4500rpm on the way to work and it did the same on the way home ,
When I got home after riding it gingerly like I set the throttle to 4300 rpm and went over the bike to find it ,
I traced it down to the horn and swapped it for another one and all is good .

So Jamie it could be anything making it rattle so you need to trace it down before you start pulling it apart .
I did 25k on the old engine with no need to adjust the ccts

Yes good point dude, I'm just paranoid I guess. I need to check valve clearances so with check tension while I'm there.

Anyone else feel like sometimes, everything is a ferking chore?
