Good news. :biggrin

Are you and Mjonesy happy to manage the Progressive group?

Me and Flatty will manage the Leisurely group
2 groups?

Excellent.

I still definitely in for this, as long as it's not going to rain all weekend.

Just updated the 1st thread with

Progressive and Leisurely Groups
As it was a success at the Yorkshire meet we will be running two groups.

Group one - Progressive
Lead and tail: Shared between AMCQ46 and MJonesy
Join this group if you are a confident rider. You will be comfortable riding at the national speed limit when it is safe to do so. You ride to the conditions. The focus of this group is riding.

Group two - Leisurely
Lead and tail: Shared between me and Flatty
This group is for riders that are more comfortable at a leisurely pace. You will still be happy to maintain the national speed limit when the need arises (to avoid holding up other traffic) but also like to look at the scenery. The focus of this group is to enjoy the roads whilst taking in the surroundings.

Do I need to book anything if I am camping? Is someone taking big tents for all again, or are we all taking our own?

No booking required just turn up, pay and camp. Flatty is taking a big tent.

Flatty you might want to call them with regards to the big tent. It might cost a bit more.

Ok cool ill stop in that and chip in with the cost.

On a serious note though, if it is raining on the Thursday night, ill come down Friday morning, if it's raining Friday, ill probably not come. I haven't taken my bike out in the rain yet and I am sticking Diablo Supercorsa tyres on it now, which are apparently awful in the wet.

Starting off with Elan Valley it would be nice to take in two of the National Parks.

Something like

just a little 300 miler :D need to get the kids up and moving early......I think we managed less that 200 miles last time, but we did have the flatty incident to work round.

but you are taking us back into Engeland and past the site of my last speeding fine on the A49 near ludlow :(

Are we doing opposite directions or same direction with a time lag for the 2 groups

Feel free to modify it. Include Elan, Snowdonia and that section just above Brecon

Not sure yet about the timings yet. I'll probably set up a meet point half way around at set a time and we can choose suitable routes there. Or have two routes and meet back at base at the end.

Perhaps all meet up at Newtown an 2pm or something if we modify the route to this. http://goo.gl/maps/jKeoc

Oh and direction wise, we'll be going the opposite way through the Elan Valley then heading North. Lets get the valley done and dusted to start with

I am happy with either route, there is only a small number of average roads round there, all the rest are great. and I look forward to going on the ones I dont yet know as much I doing the ones I always go to.

only problem with using Newtown as a meeting point is that it is the least scenic place on the trip and not where you would choose to spend your free time
