It's possible but I'm going down the flat bar route anyway & if the combo ain't comfy, I'm sure someone on here will take them from under my feet...

...for the right price...

Any way regardless of that ...They is proper bling init...
after riding carls bike back to back with mine, i can honestly say the rear sets felt higher than standard, not good for comfort. the only thing that clouds this judgement is the fact that i was using my new comfy seat which is 10mm higher than standard, giving my legs that extra bit of room. i'd suggest you get one made mac, well worth it for the comfort alone....

Yes but Carls rear sets are set for him & his dodgy ankle, + you are completely different shapes & sizes. As for the seat...it's bad enough being yellow, I'm not about to start chav-ing it up to compensate...

For me I feel my rearsets are slightly higher than the standard IIRC I think I have set them up so they are one mounting bolt away from where the standards ones sit. So they are not on the lowest setting. I need them lower for my leg/ankle, but my upswept exhaust is in the way. I want to get a lowering pegs or bracket so I can get around the exhaust. There's room for the peg but not the mounting plate behind.

Ah so there you go folks, Marty has just admitted that blue is a chav colour....

Also that he likes fondling Carls bit's... 8O

TBH Marty whilst the saddle may be more comfy, which isn't a bad thing, it's all the piping & logo that I don't like hence the chav comment. Each to there own though...

fair point macster, but you don't have to have all that, so called chav stuff.....
you can get the extra comfort, plus he can re-shape the seat to help stop ya balls hitting the tank :eek2 :eek2 :eek2 :eek2
no to mention raising or lowering the seat, which helps if you have little legs.....

should have got Gilles Rearsts they claim to be able to go lower and further forwards than standard as well as the normal up & Back.

I run mine 10mm down and 10mm back from the planned stock position

http://www.gillestooling.com/uploads/pr ... n_engl.pdf

and the gold is much more chav

I don't think even they would work for me. The rearsets have a lower mounting hole but the plate behind is at it limit to how far that can go lower because of of my link pipes. The rearsets are just about touching the link pipes.
