From 107 to 128
Re: From 107 to xxx
You wil find lots of filter mods going on in the following thread.
Airbox modding
And in the following:
This winter's rebuild and mods
Honda MWR Air Filters
Strangly I'm struggling to find Tonys pics on here.

I tried every possible way to get the mwr to run cleanly, but couldn't.

Re: From 107 to 126bhp
So the initial numbers are in.
126.4bhp max
77.73 ft-lb torque max
Max power at 9000
Max torque at 7500
It's rich and reducing the mains gained both power and torque so that's the first thing to look at when it's run in fully.

That is some serious progress Nick. Really impressive must be a beast now
If you don't try you never know if you can do it.

Well done that man, good numbers.
You'll soon get used to it and be looking for more.
What have you got planned next?

DOh, just saw you other thread
I think with all the engine work a slipper clutch would be really helpful and allow you to get the best out of it.

Re: From 107 to 126
When things happen slowly and when one talks to folks - this great place - ideas and opportunities present themselves. And, I should have known, there's no such thing as finished.
The first thing the Dyno guy said once we'd called it a day was 'now you need to look at the suspension'. More power equals more squatting etc. I've already got The springy bits sorted but they will need setting up again for the new output.
I've got a braced swingarm ready to go in so the yolks would be something to think about at the same time. Light wheels would be great but very expensive so will probably be later or never.
Given the flattening off of the power between 9k and the limit I'm starting to think there's not enough movement of gasses to cope so finding some velocity stacks and playing with the open airbox will happen. I'm also wondering whether the exhaust is restricting this but that's mega money too.

Well worth it mate.
I'd had that thought too.
Re: From 107 to 126
126 is nice figure. I dont think you can get more without advanced airbox like vtr sp or mori stg 2/3 have. Open airbox is worth to try. If you can optimize afr through rev range, this is the point i would concentrate. I believe flat power on top is cause by bigger valves not corresponding to stg1 cams, so stg2 cams are only way to solve it. And with stg2 cams you will need ram air and so on ...

Re: From 107 to 126
nick that flattening off as you say..when i got the extra bits for mine. the parts that made a difference i could feel most without even needing a dyno to tell me was the mori downpipes up high and the ECU in the midrange...with the figures your putting out id guess your downpipes have maybe reached there max breathing wise.
i could of course be talking Shite but just from what iv felt on mine. id go get down pipes.
