Remember this mess...

The Wonky Donkey's lovely electrics...

Ta Da !

Every thing back where it should be*, routed correctly & secure.

The old loom had some interesting modifications on it...Like these lovely chock blocks for the rear indi's...

... so decided to get a replacement, loom. Got a decent one quite cheap off the Bay of Evil...

Ripped the old one off a week or so ago & spent a couple of hrs in the 40* MacCave today putting the replacement one on.

Yet to connect the battery & give it a full systems check...No doubt something wont work...

* The eagle eyed among you will notice the lack of an indicator relay, the one that was on it is the wrong one but has got an adapted plug so it will fit, but the indi's have had the bullet connectors cut off...hence the chock blocks.

Also the rear coil has had the wires massively extended hence the coil of wire, got a spare coil so no biggie to change it.

Just mounted a GiPro gear indicator and it seems to be a nice little thing.
Also bought a new helmet, Schuberth S2 - very comfy and silent compared to my old Caberg helmet

Well.. De-Baffled the standard canstoday. I went the 57mm hole saw route and a bit of jiggery pokery. Maybe ten minutes each side. Went out for a quick spin. Loving the burble on idle and overrun but I suspect it may get a little irritating on long rides. However, saying that once I got up to about 60mph wind noise kind of took over anyway. Il see how it goes and may experiment with some modified DB killers.

today I've mainly been a bike courier, I did notice a squeal from the front brakes and a clonk under braking, so it looks like I might be needing new pads and head race bearings before the weekend.... :(

Me love you long time! :)

Thanks so much for what you did today. I owe ya a big man hug!

Do you have much meat left on the pads? And if you lift the front wheel off the ground is there any notchyness when you turn the bars left to right slowly?

no worries Jamie, it was worth it just to chat to your mum....
not strong enough to lift the front wheel of the ground....
i'll check the pads in the morning, if I sit on the bike and push forcefully down on the bars, there's a clonk. I assume it's head race bearings, I have a set of all balls taper bearings, i'll have to fit them.
