Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
a lot of inters groups can get messy, due to novice riders sneaking into the inters group, just because they don't want to be classed as novice, you can also get some fast riders in the inters group, purely because they get off on being the fastest rider in the group.....
a well organised trackday will sort the groups out within the first few sessions, by moving riders up or down a group according to there ability.
glad to hear you enjoyed it mate, I knew you would....

Jamio great pics, especially the close up of the tyre. I look forward to reading how it all went.
I Just got back from an adrenaline rushed ride. Boy do I love my VTR, what a beast of a bike. Burnt almost a tank of petrol today and I was shocked
to see 95miles on the trip when the RLOD came on.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today

Today I turned the angled riser around and changed the bar angle to clip on style to see if it stopped the high speed instability that I'm having .
I took it for a good thrashing and it feels better not perfect as I still get a little so next step is a damper ,
I think the instability is due to the wider forks and yokes giving more leverage with less or little input on the bars .
Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I think you should put some nice Apex bars on your shopping list. Good photo angle Lloydie.
Pushed and lifted up on the suspension a few times, tightened everything back up, pinch bolts last and it sorted it.

Good point Al. I had a similar problem once with high speed wobble. I loosened off all the bolts on the front end, including pinch bolts, apart from the top Yolk bolts which stop the bike collapsing to the floorLloydie, any runout on the front wheel?

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
I'll double check the front wheel but last time it was fine .
The instability is if you give the bars a wiggle at speed and it's hard to stay in the seat .
With the bars set to clip ons it has more weight on the front and this had helped a lot .
