Spent two hours on at the weekend re-routing the loom so I could get the engine cover to fit properly so I could get the carbs fitted. Carbs went on, then came off, then went on again, only to come off again. Lost my rag and drank wine instead. :x

It was a disaster from start to to finish. I should have taken the loom off back to the battery first time and started from scratch. Instead I tried the 'that'll do' approach and of course it didn't. The carbs go in OK, but I didn't realise the choke SE valves can't be screwed in with the carbs in place. :oops:

Not exactly done to the bike, but I remounted the garage door, and greased and rebalanced all of the mechanisms that counterbalance it.
A right bugger it was too!
Nice now though, one handed open and close.

But I have almost emptied a tin of grease- and they last forever.

I must go grease shopping, last time I bought one must be ten years ago...
