No probs Thursday's cool for me, but arn't you leaving it a bit late for the MOT considering the next day is Good Friday. Is you MOT gaff gonna be open?
What size nut is on the stearing . I have huge adjustable grips but if we know what size it is I might have a spanner that big which would be better. Hopefully it is just a case of it just needing tightening! not sure you would just get an advisary on MOT for the head bearings
I will also bring a 12v test light, but if the worst comes to the worst, we can just take the sidelight off my bike for the sake of MOT.
What about rear indi's, have you got some? and are the original wires there or where they patched into the led/indi light? I can bring some elecrical terminals/crimpers as well.
If you can think of any tools we need, let me know.

your a top bloke carl, i didn't realise it was good friday....doh!!!!
the rear indi wires only reach to the rear of under the seat from the loom, if that makes sense. so it depends on the length of the wires on the indi's are.
vtr kidda and snoogle are both sending me rear lights and indis but they won't get to me until wed/thur so i'm cutting things a bit tight. i ain't got a clue on the size of the nut to tighten the head bearings, i'll ask the question in the workshop section tonight.
maybe wednesday would be better depending on the rear lights and indis turning up. i could have a word with lloydie because i'm sending him my old/new led rear lights on monday, i could always use that for tail lights, not indi's tho, thats not allowed according to my local mot man.
someone said to tape the side light up, so that its an advisery aswell, i don't really know

Wednesday would be better. I probably got a bit of wire knocking around I can bring to extend from rear of light down to the indicators. Have you made/got a bracket to mount them to numberplate bracket?
someone said to tape the side light up
Yeh that was taffy, sorry can not remember his screen name without going back through posts.
I'm not sure what he meant by tape the side light up. Having a working sidelight is a requirement in the UK. And considering there could be other little things that might fail or advisories given, the less the better. How well do you know the MOT guy?

Front position lamps and headlamps A motor bicycle (with or without a side car) fitted with a headlamp need not have a front position lamp (but must have one on the side car, if a side car is fitted).
cybercarl ..... there you go fella information is all there if you can be bothered to look for it.
just a little insight into the sort of person i am, i would not give advise on here without knowing its right.
P.s its not a legal requirement to have any lights at all fitted hence the (wrong) term daytime mot, i say wrong term as there is no such thing as a daytime mot, its a normal mot with advisory's for lights

MJONESY sorry no offence meant calling you taffy (just being lazy) my mother's from Merthyr!

Not saying you are wrong, just saying I did not know what you mean. I am well aware of the daylight MOT but I don't think that's what BSM was intending on getting. Could be a good option though to get him out of trouble in the meantime.

To be honest I am more concerned about his head bearing he's mentioned.

thanks for all the advice guys.
trust me its all welcome, i don't know the mot at all, i've only spoken to him twice, he seems nice enough, he likes loud exhausts because they are btter for rider safety.
i might have to rig something up for the numberplate and rear indicators if the parts i'm getting off of some fellow members doesn't arrive in time. i reckon we could put something together, theres a machinemart over the road so if we need a certain tool, i can get it quickly.
once again cheers gents

hahaha
today i had some running around to do and then work....booo!!!!
so no time for the bike i'm afraid.
i got a message from snoogle saying the rear undertray/lights/indi's should arrive tomorrow or wednesday at the latest, so fingers crossed that will sort out all the issues with the rear lights, i'm also picking up my fairings from the sprayers tomorrow, not sure if i will put them on for the workshop day or not, i'm waiting for some fairing bolts to turn up.
its looking like, adjust head bearing/ adjust bar risers/fit tall stacks/ and maybe find problem with sidelight. i also need to look at a missing bolt on the chain guard, because its hitting the rear wheel. and then theres the non existent front sprocket cover, this will be a fingers crossed jobbie because i need to cut down a original cover, and i can't find mine....lol
i'm looking forward to your visit carl, weather permitting of course, there will be a constant supply tea and biscuits
