I bought a RK RX-Ring Chain for my VTR and I returned the half bearing shells I didn't use for a refund. Even getting parts is making progress.

Marty popped over today and we had a bit of a play on the fighter, Marty trimmed the standard rear mud guard ready for the under tray and pulled apart my tatty starter motor and it needs a special Marty refurb

My mate Bill helped me mod the CBR throttle cable as the pull cable needed the outer sheath shortened by about 40 mm, now the throttle seems spot on

Dismantled my old storm calipers and hoses for Marty to clean

Productive day but loads if fiddly bits still to sort

Mine's off the road until the weekend.
Coolant is leaking out somewhere, and covering my LH boot. Can you have a left hand boot?
Anyway, yesterday morning I had to pull into a petrol station and strip the fairing off so I could top up the coolant. Not impressed.

I have loads of hoses, so it should be sorted on Saturday; I can play with jets while I can see the airbox.
Now I have the Lambda readouts on permanent display as I'm riding you can see how far out the fuelling is. Runs ok, but the rear pot needs a fair bit of richening.

Still waiting for my new bottom hose - I had refilled it with straight water to give a last flush before putting coolant in it so as it turned to frost in frozen north I had to nick the heater out of the greenhouse !!!!!

While I have fairing off I will do the cct s - as a local forum member has offered to help - top place this forum !!!!!

duffys starter motor has to be the worst one I've come across so far, the 10mm nuts were so corroded, you could just about get an 8mm spanner on them... :eek2
I have my orders, acid etch primer finish........

Put it back into road trim as I need to start using it to go to work on as I've been putting to menu miles on the car

That'll be all the restaurant food and getting takeaways, it can do that to you. It's amazing how the miles can add up going all those places :D
On the bright side. Mrs Piggy's top box will hold a bit less than the car so you might loose a few pounds

and the top box acts as a wheelie bar, so you can't flip it.......
as for my bike, I tightened a rather loose mikalor clamp on the o/s linkpipe, god knows how it became so loose. I also finished doofy's starter motor. i have 4 motor's now, i'm just waiting for someone who needs one....
