Moved the VTR into the lounge for a winter strip down. But, such good weather went for a ride on the Yam. Will start taking things off tomorrow....

rode it with a big smile. Iam emptying my van tomorrow of my own tools etc. Just leaving the company ones. Iam gonna enjoy that.
Also my new boss has sent an e mail to all concerned that i am starting and he's sent me through a training Matrix already. Brilliant.

Out for a ride tomorrow, then the Van stuff.

Dropped two sizes on main jets, as it was running too rich on the Wales run, down to 168 rear and 165 front and it's still not right but feels lots better, and the power is back.
And the popping and banging on the overrun, I've missed that.

It's set up with both fuel screws two turns out, I need to play a bit more as they're not balanced yet, using the Flo Commander one runs a bit lean, one a bit rich, so I'll balance those, re-balance the carbs then start on the needle positions again. Nearly there...

Then I'll do a dyno power run, and see what we've got this time, with the oversize inlet valves.

Yesterday on the ride to work it was a tad cold 2'c , even though I had my winter gloves on my fingers were still cold .
So when I got to work I had a look on eBay and I found some Oxford sport bar muffs for £5 ,though tatty and well used I'd thought I'd give them a go and local collection to boot and I could pick them up on the way home , if I didn't get on with them it's no big loss .

I fitted them last night ready for the ride to work this morning .
So this morning I put on some summer gloves so I can really test the muffs out and to my surprise my hands stayed warm all the way even though it was 2'c again .
It was even easy to remove my hands to clear my visor and pop my hands back in without messing with the controls , this was what I was worried about the most but I shouldn't of ,silly really !.

So that's it I'm going to get myself a better set asap.

took arrow cans to local exhaust maker for repair. Left inner tube is slightly damaged and bottom collar as well. I am looking forward to new titanium sleeves :-)
