Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
Finally got an e clip for my Dyno needle on Tuesday.
Set to 3rd groove from the top, 45s , but kept the standard mains.
Also fitted needles back into slides with 2 lift holes
Also 2 long stacks, and K&N filter............
Ran like a pig !!
So stripped carbs down again tonight, set clips back to recommended 4th groove,
Dyno mains fitted (190s) with 45s.
Used the 2 hole slides still
Did the strip down in the living room, so house now stinks of fuel !!
Awaiting refit on Saturday

Thrashed 'em - both the LCII and the TRX got a run out. Doubt the TRX enjoyed being thrashed but it put up with it, the LC made me do it!!
I'm so unlucky that if there is such a thing as re-incarnation I'll come back as me!

rode it at 41 mph for that bloody ride out with the Rotary club. Some lovely bikes, some totally shite bikes. and some total bull shitty riders.
I didn't stop and just came home and went down the beach with the dog.

Just back from a 700 plus mile thrash around the west coast of Scotland. With a club I used to be a member of 25 years ago. Still many of the same people. Just 25 years older. Went on the R6 as the VTR is being fettled. Many are now old and slow but not all of them. On one fairly serious overtake sequence I noticed 136 on the digital readout and then glanced in the mirror to see that my 72yo mate on a tiger 1050 was right up my chuff. He kept up in the corners too.
Respect!

Some bikes were amazing. Most were home bodges that weren't fit for the road. There was an SP2 that was a bloody disgrace. No Stroms but plenty of Reliant engines Trikes. yawn yawn.

Re: what have you done to your "bike" today
changed bearings, seals and pivot collar in the shock arm. Ran out of time to refit it because taking the tops out of two conifers was apparently more important.
Anyone got any suggestions as to why the movement of the arm still feels notchy? Bearings and collar were all pressed in square with no apparent issues. The collar when most of the way in by hand. The only thing I can think of is that the tube in the arm isn't round any more.

''what have you done to your "bike" yesterday...''
Went over to Liegh on Sea, family meet up type thing nowt exciting...
Anyway as I have to go through the Dartford tunnel...traffic wasn't to bad but they have finally done away with all the kiosks & barriers. Last time I went through it a few months ago they were still there & you still had to stop & wait for the barrier to be raised. They now have a silly central divider on the approach & some traffic lights...So I fillter down to the front of the queue as the lights are holding the traffic up. There is now a central road way running at right angles with gates like you have at a level crossing...These are down when I stopped & the opened up & the lights on my left changed with a left turn only arrow...Hmmm I thinks must be for the artic that is just behind me...So I went forward crossing the divide to the next set of barriers & lights. Sure enough the artic pulls forward & turns left. I'm sitting there waiting & wondering If I'm gonna get an irate road womble come & have a go at me...I notice the level crossing barriers go back down the my barriers raise & the lights go green... I'm off & head into the tunnel. I check me mirrors & the traffic is still being held behind me...
So I get the whole tunnel to meself all the way though which is a first...Of course I stuck to the posted 50 limit...
