Nice tan though
Got an SAS guy in our place can't wait to get sent there later this year or maybe next, but his unit's deffo got the call.
Says if it wasn't for wife and kids he'd have joined regulars.
Idiot!
(SAS = Saturdays & Sundays = TA)
TBH, t'army'd be the last place I'd want to be. Id like to think the airforce would be good, but I did hanker to go into the navy when I was younger, maybe be a diver (I know it's not a full time job). Probably cos I can swim much better than I can feckin' fly
Got all sorts of ex-service in my team, mainly army, an ex para, ex guards, ex cavalry (tank commander). Place is full o' them.
Doh!

Mending aircraft was my job twenty five years ago, Civilian stuff.
Not quite a Vulcan, but I worked my way up to being allowed taxi clearance on the HS125 biz jets. Some thrill to start a pair of 'Vipers' and taxi this across the apron (at that time in 1980's); a 5 million pound private jet.

"Falling with style" was the Woody/Buzz bit. My daughter used to watch that film incessantly when she was little and could virtually recite the whole film!
