Sorry to hear.

But there seems to be plenty of bits and pieces available at the moment.
So if you decide to fix it up it shouldn't take much to get it back on the road.

Engineer came yesterday. Apparently the bike will cost £4050 to repair!!

He offered me £3400 write off (which is exactly what I paid for it a couple of years ago). I've accepted this. The way I see it I've had 2 years of fun for vitually no expense.

Done a deal with the eldest son to ride this for any seriuos mileage.

Meanwhile I'll sit on the money and wait to see if anything tempting comes up on ebay in the next few months.

So I'll be VTRless for a while

They're sweet!
One of the best high speed mile munchers around. A bit heavy around town but I'm sure you'll soon get used to it.
Good luck with that beastie jag

Thanks folks.

To be honest I'm a bit gutted about the VTR, but I think its the best thing to do.

The ZZ is a beastie, but its real smooth and you can "tootle" on it (something you defo can't do with the SP!). Also we upgraded the calipers to the Suzuki 6 pots, which are much better.

Jaglifter, pleased too hear you've come out of it fairly well and sorted fairly quickly too :!: I can understand your way of thinking :!:

A mate of mine has a ZZR1100 and he wouldn't swap it :!: :D

1. Before (or during) your next meeting, seminar, or conference call, prepare yourself by drawing a square. I find that 5″x5″ is a good size. Divide the card into columns-five across and five down. That will give you 25 one-inch blocks.

2. Write one of the following words/phrases in each block:
synergy
strategic fit
core competencies
best practice
bottom line
revisit
take that off-line
24/7
out of the loop
benchmark
value-added
proactive
win-win
think outside the box
fast track
result-driven
empower
knowledge base
solution
touch base
mindset
client focus
paradigm
game plan
leverage

3. Check off the appropriate block when you hear one of those words/phrases.

4. When you get five blocks horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, stand up and shout “BULLSH1T!”
