The best way to deal with police inefficiency is to write to the Chief Constable stating all the facts and your complaints and copy your letter to your local MP. That really gets em jumping. Police today are driven by Home Office targets this does tend to get in the way of proper policing.

Some examples:-

Don't crime it unless you really have too (keeps the crime figures down)

Only crime what you can detect (Keeps detection figures up)

Lets hope the next lot in government have a bit more sense and we can get back proper policing.
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

I'm barely able to speak for the shock, I was doing a job this morning at a house, and had another 200 yds away, neglected therefore to apply my compulsory restraint (seatbelt), drove past rozzer in a volvo who promptly pulled me. He went over my van with a fine tooth comb, illegal rear tire (i know i know) loose battery, no washer fluid, mot expired sunday but was booked in for 2.00pm wednesday, earliest i could get, and of course no seatbelt. i think i'm proper wombles here, he says £60 no points for seatbelt £60 3 points for tyre (really only borderline) £60 3 points for battery, £40 for washer bottle empty plus £140+ for mot and reported to courts. Then, he asked me what i would do in his position and i asked niceley if he'd be lenient, he pnc checked me at a distance, and then, wait for it, came over and said, ' its a rare thing to pull a young guy with no points or convictions/warrants, you're a prat for no seatbelt etc, but you're out working for a living and not sat in bed waiting on your social cheque, consider this a bollocking, get it fixed and wombles off'. honestly, i could have cried, still in shock :wtf:
Put me in an empty room with a brick and i'll either break it, lose it or hurt myself on it!!!
