My little red light has always flashed on between the 80-90 mile mark...I'm now getting around 20 miles more on top of that after balancing the carbs...

be interesting to see the odo differences too.
taking different lines on bends would only add a few 100 yards i'd imagine.
we'll see at wales. good idea!
lads if we all fuel up at the same time then stop after a good mixed ride and refill, keep your receipt and write the mileage on it.
we can compare later, gearing, mods ie dynojetted etc...

Mike, now that would be worth doing :D

Chris.
There should be a few lined up in Wales at the end of the month for the meet
I was thinking the same thing, and both mine and Benny's are on different cams, to see if that makes a difference to mpg.

If I can get my sh1t together mine will have ram-air and an airbox conversion as well, which will throw more interest into the mix.

Id be up for ths, it needs every one to brim their tanks, then rebrim later on in the day :-) Im on standard gearing by the way, and fill up at 100 miles when the light comes on.must admit though on a spirited tuesday night ride last year, managed Hull to Whitby and was looking for fuel stations. rode very steady in top gear and limped to bridlington to the first open garage we came across. lol
