thanks
to fit you need both seats rear r1 light and under tray when you slide the r1 unit on youll notice that its almost a direct fit but not quite, front r1 mounting points line up with the top firestorm subframe bolts so im changing these bolts for threaded bar with a nut then seat unit over nut then a shiney dome head chrome nut thats the front sorted , next the point where the firestorm unit bolts at the back under the seat is too high so need bending down once at the right level there to short to reach the r1 mounting holes so a strip of 2mm steel bolted to them sorts that out , thats basicly the unit fitted how ever when you step back and look you now see that the rear seat is alot lower than the tank and looks silly, what i did here was undo the bottem subframe bolts and lift the back end like on a hinge to where i wanted it measure the extra i needed , if you look at the pic you can see the sleves i used (not yet bolted up) these were cut off a gsxr750 engine cradel slid over the standard firestorm subframe now they need bending into shape and will lift the rear end by 1 and ahalf inches .
i havnt mounted the front seat yet but that looks simple enough although it does involve cutting the standard firestorm seat fittings off i also need to buy a rear seat .
once i start making the unit perminant i'll make a thead in the project section (there is a project section right? and if not why not?lol)
