It's in the Workshop Knowledgebase section, which is part of the Workshop section.

Then look at the posts at the top of the listings, they're "stickies" so they stay there.
It's where we post "how-to" items, frequently asked question info, etc.

+1 on the CCT's, by the way.
It's not if, it's when they let go, even if you've had them replaced with new standard Honda ones.

That's how we get most of our new members:
"there's a very loud rattling noise coming from my engine, and i wondered if...."
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Yup, me too. Had a zillion newish bikes and wanted one with real character . This forum also gives you a sense of the character I was looking for. Not sure you will get this with too many other bikes.

Thanks for all the friendly welcomes and advice. Is there anywhere on this forum that shows pictures of original automatic CCTs as I'm not sure if my bike has had new manuals fitted or had the modification carried out?

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

Better the preventative cost and fitting than the £££ & hassle of getting recovered from the middle of nowhere and fixing it when it implodes

Look in the knowledge base section, and do the stopper mod. It costs nothing, and works

I know its a pain, but once the CCTs are done you have a robust bike, and one you can ride without that nagging worry every time you come off the power suddenly.
The guys on here really do know what they are talking about.

Enjoy your storm.

You can get a set modified by Bazza for less than £40 posted, so it's not exactly expensive.

On the other hand, parts to replace it if it goes bang starts at £140 plus labour, and goes up as far as new engine.

What the hell, go on, take a chance....Did I mention that I rebuild engines for a reasonable sum?
