They are actually remus cans on the vtr, but the remus badges were really scabby, but when i took them off you could still see the sillouette of the badge, had these arrow ones kicking around in the garage, plus they match the paint job lol
cheers hammie, thats me all pictured out for the time being lol

Hammie, thanks for posting the photo's :D

Your VTR looks pretty good, the yellow and black work well together, but that Skoal Bandit Kettle made me go weak at the knees 8) I don't know if I could bring myself to do track days on it though  I'd be to worried I'd bin it.

lol ive binned it 3 times !!!!!!, twice in one day at donnington, and once at oulton in heavy rain, although i have been lucky and they were all lowsides, unlike my mate who highsided his modded kettle and almost wrote it off, although we have calmed down a bit now, and try not to race each other tooo much, as this is when the problems start lol

no matter how old we never grow up  When I was racing I shared a van with a mate, and it didnt mater if I won or not, as long as I beat him........I still ride with him on dirt bikes and he now has a KTM SMT990 on the road.........it can still get out of hand

Truth is I have to admit he is a fast rider........he was ACU 250 clubman champion back in the day, a Ron Haslam instructor on the elite fireblade sessions and sadly he has also turned out to be a pretty good trials rider......... and he is 10yrs younger .......... but I still cant walk away from a challange

i know what you mean, my mate is faster on his modded kettle than me, but i have a faster better braked bike [recently upgraded to r1 calipers] so it normally works out quite even, he rides circles around me in the twisties, and i can catch and pass him on the straights, [he has rearsets and my bike grounds out a lot earlier and have found to my peril that not to tilt it any further when its making that noise lol] but its hard not to race each other, we had 6 modded kettles in the novice group at donny this year, it wasnt a race honest lol

i dont know about " rough round the edges" it looks in good nick to me ( the vtr) . i think the matt black front mudguard looks very smart with black cans( whatever make they are?)

the standard of work on the suzi is amazing also. does remind me slightly of a pimps car from a 1970,s movie though. when i was a teenager riding my trusty CB200 i really really wanted a gt750 but couldnt get one. i did however hang on a bit longer and could afford an aircooled rd400 yam . wish i had it now aaaah memories

I must add, although the orange kettle isn't exactly my cup of tea, I do appreciate how much work, time and sweat had gone into building that bike, well done.

cheers for the welcome and comments guys, the orange kettle [known as chromageddon] was supposed to be ott and a bit of a mickey take [albeit an expensive one with over 3k spent at the chromers] and was used to promote the kettle club quite a bit.

i have another kettle frame which is being modded by my mate so i can run TR [through the frame spannies] with a rgv seat unit and a one off tank, it will also go on bandit running gear, its going to be a slow burn project when funds are avail as ive spent far too much on my last 2 kettles, although i almost recouped my costs when i sold the chrome bike.

ive already been spending [cheaply with 2nd hand parts] on the storm, bought another set of rims, to be powder coated black, another hugger, [one on its off another bike and been bodged to fit] to be painted black, have the standard belly pan thing, which needs a repair and will also be done in black
quick one thou, has anyone got either a picture or can send me a picture of the 2 brackets with are used to mount the belly pan, or have a set of the brackets kicking about they dont want,

cheers for now Hamme

you should ask forum member 71geoff send him a p.m, he's always breaking firestorms,he's also on ebay and he's reasonably cheap, he sold a set of brackets recently for £6. goodluck mate.
i'll be selling a moriwaki bellypan very soon if your interested, unfortunately i have no brackets for it.
