False start?

Post by ktd001 »

Oh yes. The private buying process for a zzr600. Bought it in a busy part of town and had a limited test ride. It was an interesting moment as I hammered my new new purchase down the motorway and found out 5th gear was missing! Think I'll stick to buying from dealers...

Thank God for that.
For a moment it flashed through my mind that someone might reply they got caught wearing satin trying to pass it off as silk.
Erh! Sorry about the purchase though. Did you ever find where 5th went?

Nope.
The bike ran perfectly and you could rev it a bit in 4th before knocking it up but it was so bloody uncomfortable on long journeys (even my knees hurt for gods sake and the missus would start screaming at me after 70 miles!) that after 6 weeks I just did a massive, money-losing trade-in for the Storm. So, good deal in the end!

As for the other thing, surely nobody's THAT cheap?

A few dozen tubes? How lucky do you have to get to use that lot?? Mind you, might be handy for getting me leathers on & off when its all sweaty?

Let us know if that stuff works. I'm dying to go into a shop and ask if they've got Monkey Butt!
