I have'nt got a scooby mate! Often when I get to the last bar flashing I will still only get 13 litres in the bastid till it's brimmed full.

Smaller 16l tank
Today red light @ 112
Slip streamed Stobart 19 miles up the M1
Took 13.73 l @ 131 miles so I reckon still 2.27 litres in the tank so maybe good for another 20 miles until it would have stopped

This makes 43.4 mpg I reckon they are pretty economical at 56mph slipstreaming an HGV

Why would you ride 19 miles behind a lorry on a bike? :confused
Two bikes, still only four cylinders!

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

There's something much more complicated than it appears in the electronics controlling the low fuel light.

Some sort of sensor that can identify that you're in the outside lane on a motorway, passing a junction, that triggers the light five seconds later.
Especially on junctions that are twenty-five miles apart, with no services.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I once pushed a bike 1.25 miles don’t fancy the remaining 17.75 especially on the M1 :confused

I wouldn’t normally puncture my safety bubble by slip streaming an HGV but on this occasion (first tank of fuel on new bike) I considered the risks and chose to run them. Next time I’ll be filling up sooner!

Bloody great bike, I can see I'm gonna have to plan my fuel stops on my Alps trip...you can tour on anything right? :cool2
