if you find the front turns in quick and sometime to quick that will be because the front is a 16"
to get a more stable front try and get your hand on a 17" and you will get a better tyre choice
Damo the standard auto adjusting CCT's have issues due to lack of lubrication/corrosion to the springs. If the spring fails the cam chain can jump teeth leading to valve/piston interface. Expensive.
Buy manuals and fit them to avoid any of this or do the stopper mod as Al said, however this won't prevent failure just avoid the damage if/when they do fail.
You can get manuals from Bazza696 which are converted auto's, Krieger and Rider on a Storm manuals are very similar and both are members on here or Phil Pont or APE sell manuals on E Bay. They all work the same way so you just need to decide what you want. Tony Mon did a review of the various types recently if you do a search.

this is what you need damo, the same design as the early blade wheel but 17inch, they normally sell for £80 to £100 but beware they are often damaged and need repairing, best bet is it see them before you buy them, i know thats not always easy tho.....
your bikes very nice fella, i'd stick to standard decals, just my opinion tho
also i notice from the picture of your bike, its missing the little rubber bung between the frame and the petrol tank, i'd also be looking at a bellypan/fairing lowers to keep that exhaust nice and clean, it looks spotless aswell....
thanks guyz for all your helpfull comments ......they are very welcomed....i shall certainly look into replacing my CCT's my first job now...glad i found this site now with all these tips on things i had no clue about well im a bit gutted they arnt sp1 wheels but hey they still look good to me lol........yes a 17" would be good and defiantly help out on tyre size options ...i had a hornet before my firestorm and that too had a 16" front wheel and i had to make do with budget tyres to get a matching pair. belly pan wise im definatly ater one of those im looking for a mowaki style one that dosent join the upper front fairing and has a nice little sweep at the back end of it, ive seen these on other storms but struggaling to find one second hand or at lower cost (i have 2 children and they take all my biking money lol) so if anyone has one of these belly pans going plz let me know.

What I do (with the can facing away from the bike) is spray the furniture polish onto a cloth and apply it that way instead. That way no chance of getting it onto the brake disc's,
