4 adult kids, 1 baby daughter, 3 grandchildren, 4 step daughters....I'm knackered and skint. The bike is the best hobby ever. Gets me the hell away from that lot and when I'm not on it, I'm tinkering with it in the garage (the bike that is)!
Apart from that, composing short stories and poetry (hope to be published some day soon). Will do a special offer on the forum for signed copies of my first publication, watch out for me.

Funnily enough just finished the 2nd Edition of a friend's first book - He self-published and I have Quark so could design and do the layout from his draft - then it was simply FTPing the PDF to the printers, giving them wonga and viola a real book. Next project is converting to a format/s for digital download. (Lot less outlay and hopefully sell lots at a small price to recoup his costs) If you need advice let me know.

That's cool, cheers Wicksy. Its one line I've looked at already. Would ideally like a nice fat advance though from a publisher (fat chance for a first book). I've got about 20 years worth of material waiting to be edited by a professional, I am not objective enough to do that. Have also hawked some round the university I attend for help from some of the academics but again I need to edit; even though my material and writing style has been complimented by a couple of critically acclaimed writers. Good luck to your mate, I wish him the very best and I'm sure he is thrilled to see his words in print.

Yup the editing is the hardest part. I had a old girlfriend who worked for a publisher in the States and she was ruthless in chopping out chapters and forcing rewrites - it made writers submitting their precious works into gibbering wrecks - plus they had to pay for the privilege! Though with self-publishing if you can demonstrate that there's a modicum of success that could bode well with publishers to invest in you and take you on.

Nice mate I sold my BSA scorpion T10 last year , looking for a new riffle this year

I think mine is a Meteor Mk7. No markings to show the model though so I emailed BSA for help.

dead easy to convert to fire .22 rimfire ;)
i wont say how as it's obviously very illegal/
mine used to fire .22 black hilti caps with .22 ball bearings superglued on the end... bolt action.
i was told they can kill a horse from a mile away lol
never went that far like but shot a concrete lamp post and it blew a 2" cone out of it lol, used to splinter 4" fenceposts to fok
also made a mess of the glass insulators on pylons

used to have a big old crt telly in my bedroom which didnt work... so i decided to shoot it, as you do...
i loaded it up with a .22 hilti then took all the cordite out of another (the black ones are pure cordite) and packed it down the barrel like a musket...
then melted lead in an offcut piece of the barrel and cut it into 1/2" slugs... rammed one of them down the barrel and fired it BOOOOOm! biggest bang ive ever heard then i felt a bit strange... blood ran into my eye... put my hand on it & it was like black blood so i panicked a bit thinking i'd shot myself in the head lol./
what had happened was the blast was so powerfull it had blown the back of the cartride out, blown the firing pin & piston back like a carbine and that had smashed the back of the gun off, which had hit me in the head, quick as lightning lol, so fast i didnt even feel it.

when i cleaned my head up there was a really deep C shaped gash in my forehead lol! still got the scar!

happy daze.... used to sit on a deck chair in the back garden blowing pegs off the clothes line. no way could you do that these days lol, there'd be helis & marksmen all over the place lol!

I used to play rugby union to a half decent standard, so always keep my eye on Leicester Tigers and of course the national team (and Scotland due to family reasons)
Unfortunately I broke my neck and that kinda put paid to any more of that (long story lol)
Joined a local club before my lad was born but something was holding me back and didn't really get into it like before.

Nowadays, I've joined a gym to try and get my slightly (read: extremely) rotund frame into some kind of respectable shape lol
Its taking a while, but making some progress...the missus says I no longer have girly arms, which is a bonus I guess. My favourite exercise in the gym is the deadlift
