If your buddy has an R6 putting out 130 bhp then it has received some serious attention from a tuner. The latest R6 puts out about 120-125 crank hp stock, which translates to 105-110 bhp (bhp referring to back wheel hp)....
As for the 600 cc Aprilia Mille, looking forward to seeing the pics, may want to post them along with those of Nessy or the abominable snow man....
The Mille is a Fantastic Bike, a big b8stard of a bike as well, a proper 'Man's' bike 60degree twin as a opposed to the 90Degree of the Honda's, Dukes and Suzuki
They go well very well, but i have herd of iffy bikes, i wouldn't use it as a day to day i dont think it or most things would cope as well as a storm
Are you sure that the sticker is not V60* as in "Vee" 60 degrees Image?
Have to agree with Wicky that I believe the only 600 Aprilia do is the "offroad" Tuareg.
Still strange if the logbook states 598cc.
Nothing really wrong with the RSV Mille as far as reliability goes, suspension links ??, a few isolated cases around the world on the 04 onwards, people do have problems with the sprag clutch, but thats only because they don'tknow how to start them, they're a high compression twin, if they don't fire straight away give it a moment to take a breath and have another go, don't just hit the starter again, should have no probs then.
As for the riding the Mille's a single minded bike and doesn't do town work well and there's alot of heat right by your legs, and they're chomping at the bit, they live for the twisties although they're not that bad cruising on the motorway... The firestorm is probably the better allrounder but it's a softer bike.. But like most bikes it's usually the rider that makes the difference, there's many a firestorm rider who can see of an RSV and vise versa.
