I beleive they also had issues with sticking pistons (which led to uneven pad wear), and fading (aluminum pistons?).... anyhow, you`d be much better off with Nissin four-pots unless, of course, your main objective is bling......

If you look at the different big bikes that the Japanese produce you'll notice over the years they are often changing from 4 pot to 6 pot calipers and vice-versa, as they bring out a new model, it's almost as if they can't make up their minds

I would never have brakes just for the bling. Primarily brakes need to work and be reliable, and if they are bling. Then that is an added bonus.
