Surprised you weren't drowned. You need to look at the "How to fit Jet Skis" threadsbz8969 wrote:sounds like a plan to me, I rode mine from Belfast to Manchester a month or so ago and it nearly kiklled me

These are what you want!

WN! '99 Firestorm, furry dice & 2lbs of dead insects
Re: Fitted vfr bars lastnight
you need to try a storm with Renthal low rise superbike bars............i have shunned this idea for ages as clip-on bars are what you need for riding fast.....well that what everybody thinks, a sports bike has to have clipons? or does it?.....
but I had a good go on lloydies bike last year and also on a KTM SMT, so decided to give the flat bar change a go over the winter, and I feel like an idiot now [name your favoite forum member here], because the bike is so much better at everything, you are just a bit less aerodynamic, but you can lean forwards with no strain.

Hi guys,
i just purchased a my'01 VTR and i would like to do the VFR handlebars swap but...there's something strange...
How can you fit them?! They use different locking position.
I also have a my'98 VFR and theese are some pictures of them.

When you fit VFR bars to the Firestorm it's not possible to use the locking position. Not really a problem in my view, as done up tight they will stay where you put them.
My old British bikes that had clip-on handlebars years ago never had a locking position fitted to them, they never moved in normal riding conditions,
Chris.

What chris said. the clamping force of the clipon bolt is more than enough.

the older i get,the faster i was
