Usually up myself around 5.30 so watch out for a red un.
Sounds like we could have a Staffs Storm out ............Whats the plural ? ......... Storms ?

Hey All
Getting some miles under my belt with the Storm now and must say they are great to ride and the red ones are the fastest but kin ell

! they are thirsty buggers.............................
Emptied a full tank in 127 miles

That's pretty good. Some go empty in less than ninety if driven correctly

Jeez I just noticed it's an early modal with 16l tank as well. Something is not right there. You either ride so slow that you may as well have a different bike, your running extremely lean, your gearing has been changed, or you have one of those magical mystery tour vtr's that change your odo over to KPH.

Hmmmmmmmmm ! Interesting, seeing as you can't ride the red ones slow I might need to look at the gearing, the higher gears do seem a bit tall.
The 127 miles to empty was done on a motorway early in the morning ( Private road obviously ) sitting between 90 -120MPH.
Ok I need to speed up ...........

As Carl says someone could have changed the gearing (without fitting a speedo healer or similar), worth checking.
Standard gearing is:- front sprocket 16 and rear 41 teeth.
