Carl, what kind of paint are you going to use for this? Are you going to do it yourself or give it to a shop (panel beater)

?

It will either take the pamels to this company.

Similar process to the this place.

Or to possibly save a few penny's and for the fun of it I may go down the rattle can route as the quality of rattle can chrome sprays has improved vastly over the last few years.

It's ether paint it or go down the Chinese fairing route. But I would prefer paint, and I want something totally unique that I have not seen on a VTR before. In Chrome it would be like a Chameleon and reflect it's surroundings. I also thinking of getting some subtle reflector stripes from Tapeworks.
http://www.tapeworks.com/HONDA%20Pages/VTR1000.html I like the idea of peter grey over Chrome, so pretty monotone but at night will reflect nice and bright.

wombles me Carlos - that is epic!
Silver all the way but it cries out for some red detailing, like the Duc. Frame? Maybe too much - certainly some discrete decals on the fairing, tank and tail. In red though, and a couple of black details (calipers and lines?) and in my humble view it would be the danglies of a dog
btw - i'm very envious of your (and Wicky etc) photoshopping skills, have so many ideas in my head and not clue how to get them out!! Some call it madness
What a project though - I am a big fan of polished metal so bit biased - remember the AA planes of old? Loved them. And maybe some cues from the Maclaren F1 car for how polished metal, red and black combine??

tbh I quite like the bike exactly how it is. Could you maybe chrome certain parts of it like the tank, undertray and bit above the headlight?

Agree

It's very good in home made Chocolate muffins. As a chocoholic I'm a bit of a Chocolate connoisseur, so when I say it's good quality, it's good quality.

I like the look of the chrome, but I think you need some darker contrast with the frame and wheels. It would probably look good only with the basic Honda decals, to keep the uniqueness. I can't wait to see the outcome.
On a side note, you realize you will have to cover the bike all the time you away... Beside drawing much attention any dirt will be noticeable.
