Three years ago this month
I'd like to say something awe inspiring or give you hope it's going to get better but it won't. I still crave one, the smell of one being lit is great, and the satisfaction of having one after a good meal or with a sit down cup of coffee will be missed forever. The camaraderie of passing them around to your mates over a pint. It's all gone! and it will only get worse

Have a good day! :D

Good stuff everyone, didn't expect to come back to 2 pages!

Congrats to everyone still fighting, and to those who've done it, it's not overly easy (skips over the minutes/hours/days of misery and despair)
Kev, have stopped completely.
Had loads of attempts before, I've done it on patches, gum, lozenges and the latest was the e-cig.
Bottom line is I'm just too weak for all that stuff. All the time I've got nicotine in my blood, it won't matter if I have the odd smoke you see...

So, day 1, two half strength lozenges

Day 2, 2 puffs on the half strength e-cig at lunchtime, 1 lozenge driving home because I was getting jumpy vision and mild hallucinations.

Day 3 nothing, but had to go home sick from work before I ripped out somebody's spine and beat them to death with it...

So, 23 days clear now, 21 days clear of any nicotine, and really feel I've turned the corner.
I've been a b8stard to live with, and need to buy the wife a big bunch of flowers, but it's worth it.

cheers all

I gave up smoking anything with a health warning on years ago.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
