Fuel Tank
Re: Fuel Tank
also when you take the 2 front bolts out theres a good chance the 2 little black plastic top hat shaped spacers will fall out . very easy to lose , im still looking for one of mine!

3 out of 4 people make up 75% of the worlds population.
Re: Fuel Tank
Funny you should say that as thats what happened, luckily i've got a magnet and saw it on top of the engine so got it back.
ps mine were metal

Re: Fuel Tank
Glue them into the rubbers with a blob of silicon sealer, and they'll never fall out again.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

can't beat the response for help than on this forum, thanks all for your help, that steering damper does get in the way though, you can't lift the front of the tank up as its too tight, when you try part of it catches on the tank, would it be a problem to remove most of it? until i put the tank back, don't blame you if your fed up of hearing about it, i am as well.

Re: Fuel Tank
That's why I said lift the rear up and pull it towards the rear, you should be able to lift it up then. It's only the tab where the bolts go through the front that is under the damper. It would be a pain to have to completely remove the damper just to get the tank off. But I don't see any problems with removing it.you can't lift the front of the tank up as its too tight
