I think the Spondon underslung brace is too low, would look much nicer if it ran a little closer to the underside. What do you think?

I agree, that looks bloody awful. Stevie wonder would like to see it though.

I thought the same when I looked at it.. Just appears to be a loop and doing nothing.. We maybe wrong though?

I'm doing a SP1 swinger at the moment and to be honest it isn't that straight a forward swap... so don't think that's a easy one just yet as making new dog bones and linkages for it to work as it is longer than standard and the different linkage because you need to blend half a SP1 and the firestorm one together. Still, should be clear as mud when I start the project thread!!!

ive often wonderd about this (not ging,s crap grammer) . how much improvement would it make to the swingarm just by bolting some stiffening to either the top or bottom of the arms?

I,m guessing not a lot as the issue is with the two arms flexing out of parallel I guess?

Well here is what a under-slung brace looks like when it is fitted to a VTR

I'm speechless that's beautiful, Wicky sent me a pic of a Spondon swingarm, that looks a lot like this.

It's not my bike but a fellow member off of an old forum I was on.

It's a JMC swingarm and I do have to disagree on the functionality of an underslung brace. They work just fine, whether you like the look or not is a personal choice.

It didn't sell... there are a few people wanting to know if he would break it down and sell it as parts but heard nothing...

Some really nice parts on that bike when you look..anyways, Hawk, looking at that bike would you suggest the brace still works despite the fact it looks like it isn't anchored to anything else and appears to be just a loop, as all the blade braces etc tend to anchor somewhere at the front near the shock/pipe for what I always thought was rigidity. Would they work just as well without this anchor point then?

I was chasing that swingarm, the guy said he'd already got a buyer for it, along with all the other nice parts, who got the swingarm....
not sure if its the same as the one on yeti's 50th anni bike.
a couple of years ago I contacted the company that make them, they said it would take 2 months and cost £900....
