it lifts it up about 2 inches, but its the angle too that makes the difference, also being wider it seems to be easier to chuck into a bend but is wider when filtering. Its a "Cool and Comfy" yoke and it came with the yoke, brake hoses and all fittings and cost £220 and is without a doubt the best mod i could have done in this bike to make it better to ride as its so comfy.
Have you seen all 6 photos on the photo bucket bit? as there another showing both bars.

If I ever ended up going down this route I would body-fill a rounded lip back and re-spray. Easy for me to say as my fairing could do with some repairs and re-spraying anyway. It's a bit different with a perfectly good fairing.

i didn't want to trim the fairing to start with but the risers i had weren't enough, i fitted the yoke after seeing one in a shop and loved the position of the bars. I was crapping myself trimming the fairing but practised loads and took my time. I am more than happy with it.
I had to get the mirror extenders for the guy on here and there great. overall its a top bike to ride for me. it wont be going thats for sure.

What's happened to the inspection cap on from the genny cover.
Bike is looking great keep it up......and you will end up with a completely White bike.

Bikes looking good and I agree, the flat bar mod is one of the best things You can do to a storm.
When i want to go fast, it allows me more control, vision and balance and as a result I am now faster on real world roads than when it had clip ons, and when I don't need to go super fast the bike is more comfortable and can be ridden as sane speeds while still having fun.

Do you think if the bars would of been flatter/or arched back risers then you wouldn't of had to trim the fairings?
Either way bike looks smart! Wide bars surprisingly suit the 'storm!

That what i have found the most, as your heads up and your looking further down the road you tend to be faster, with the clips ons i always seemed to be having to lift up to look down the road, i have got faster simply because of this i think.
I think i have drilled the bars a bit wrong as the clutch lever is a bit further round than it should be, thats why the clutch pot is not level.
I wont change it though as i do find it comfortable + iam 55 so need a bit more comfort.

yep maybe, if the bars are further back maybe the fairing wouldn't have to be trimmed as much, its amazing how much the clutch pot and the brake reservoir hit the fairing, hence I've moved the levers a bit further round. Overall very happy with the mod. The difference is amazing.
