Funnily enough, this guy designed the light cycle in "Tron" (and Tom Cruises bubble ship in "Oblivion")
Wonder how much money he made from Lotus blowing the dust off a couple of old pictures.......

The chopper like front end rake seems most odd on a 200 horsey bike ( I wonder how it will handle in twisties), and the odd hoover like fairing seems daft aerodynamically when the rider will be caught hanging on for dear life in the wind stream. Overall seems style over substance, though maybe the engine can power something more practical and purposeful.

I think it's gorgeous, especially in the martini colours!

I like it, the Lotus one, that is. I'd ride it.

But I want to know if the engine is their own or someone else's with Lotus breathed-on bits.

The fairing looks like the designer's idea of research was to squash a toilet roll tube a bit!
And the front surface (presumably a radiator) looks very BMW Boxer-like.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

I think it uses a KTM engine, RC8 maybe?

I also recall somewhere that nothing is developed by Lotus, it's all done somewhere else by someone else and it's just their name on it

It's all farmed out to various German firms and built under the Lotus banner. This gives you the details -

Stick a couple of race cans attached to speakers and I would ride that.

As for the Lotus it's not my cup of tea but I can see why Tony likes it. It looks like a good bike for the drag strip if you can get yourself tucked into an aerodynamic profile.

Love the ones that Jamoi posted they are what a bike should look like.

Far more useable and with a fake sountrack, for safety sake you understand :whatever, yep I would have one.
