I also doubt Honda will be coughing up if you have a CCT failure
When this CCT problem first started to become known, a petition was got up by members on the Superhawk forum (the American version of our site). When this was presented to Honda, apparently they dismissed it, as they felt there wasn't a problem.
Nice looking bike you have there, and in the best colour too IMO

Ahh well you live and learn... Will fit the Auto's for now and do stopper mod on them. Hindsight is a great thing or should I say....Should have asked you guys first! Doh!

I would sent the CCTs back for a refund, fit stoppers to the old ones and spend the money on petrol...........

Oh I don't know. yeh it's a bit more work as they need fitting first to get the right amount of space for the stopper but a fair few have either failed shortly after doing the stopper or the spring has broke during the process of putting the stopper in as it been disturbed from moving it about.

At least keep the new ones for when the old ones eventually do die. You can even take the key out so their not stored under tension as on Honda's shelves.

you got the forums attention re the Honda CCTs, how did it eventuate?
