I shouldn't laugh MalcoBobkat, but that was a mega vfr wobble bounce! very impressive!popkat wrote: Lucky it happened where it did, you could have ended up with a mega vfr type wobble bounce thing
It's ok to laugh when you get out the other side of it ok must say it felt like my shock had collapsed at the time.

Jamie, it must be nice to know you have half a dozen members offering you their spare shocks for gratis....
I didn't feel the need to offer, as you had already had several offers, well done chaps, it's great to see we are looking after one of our own, even if most of you were trying to get to Jamie's mum......

I think my heart probably skipped a beat when I saw the angle you were at in the air, while I was following. Bet you couldn't do that againpopkat wrote:It's ok to laugh when you get out the other side of it ok must say it felt like my shock had collapsed at the time.
Will do asap. it has snapped at the thinnest part of the ring, where the softest setting notch meets the hardest setting notch.AMCQ46 wrote:lucky boy Jamie.......... post up some photos of the collar, I am interested to see where it failed
Marty, this forum never ceases to amaze me with the members on here, you couldn't wish for a better bunch of pals
I'm not sure the shocks on offer are "gratis"
I must admit, I REALLY stretched my resources today & bagged the used but nearly new WP shock, I figured as it's a track bike it's a worthy investment and I'm sure I'd sell it on for not too much of a loss in the future.

Re: My rear shock collapsed!
Wow Rust may have been a contributing factor there. I think I may have to pay a bit more attention to mine from now on. That is some scary sh1t a shock collapsing like that. Imagine if that was at high speed.
