What a great place this forum is!!!!!'

Thanks so much for getting in touch - not sure what etiquette is on the forum for passing emails et as I can't respond to your pm.

Totally right in that was supplied by Kim, as was my blade I bought in 1998.

Feel much better about the speedo now !!!!!!

Be great to meet up

I'll be posting some pics of both my storm and blade later

Once again many thanks

I think we sgreed some time ago that the speedo on my storm was a kph version with a mph sticker over the kph on the dial.

This is consistent with my research which identified the bike as a parallel import so it would have had a kph clock.

Some people said the speed may have some speedo healer or some device???? Would this have been fitted to the speedo itself?

Also would i be correct in assuming the odometer is still likely to be reading kilometers?

I do have a new mph one to fit but would like to understand the answers to the questions above before i fit it

Yes, if there's a sticker over the original it will still be displaying kilometers on the odo.

If you now fit a speedohealer it will then count distance put on after you fit the healer in miles, but you'll have to remove the sticker.
However, all those km's recoded will be added to your miles total, and you'll have no proof of how many miles it's actually done.
Unless you buy a new (or reset to zero) speedo.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Hello tony

I was hoping to fit a new mph speedo - ( i have one)

I guess i was just enquiring if i could just fit the new one. Ill do a picture of the old one as a record of the kms done to date which is around 41000. - so the mileage in miles is very reasonable.

Next stop is my other blue storm with the damaged front head !!!!!!

Cheers for the response

Brian
