Whereabouts in the county? there's one or two of us dotted about in Kent.

Looks clean, and you can't fault the mileage.

Just back from the inaugral DevonStorm on my F2, as asked whereabouts in Kent are you, must be one end of the M20 or the other I guess...

I'm just outside Ashford so currently using it to commute during Op Stack. Looking forward to the ride home in the rain this afternoon

rain !! its been pishing down here, really heavy .

It was a pretty crazy ride - soaked after about 5 miles with 30 odd to go but it wasn't that cold so not a huge problem. Filtering along the M2 with driving rain and standing water was less fun!

I think my jacket may have leaked a bit



I had to wring my gloves out like sponges and boots are soaked as well.

Oddly enough, I ordered a rain suit last night!

Got to give the bike a nice clean today and I've also tweaked the suspension a little to firm up the front end. I'm considering dropping in a spacer for the rear shock - probably only a couple of MM to start to see how that helps. I had a BlackBird previously and the spacer mod is common on them although it's only the second bike I ever binned after losing the back end round a left hander in the wet and I often wonder if that was a contributing factor?

oops, the poor blackbird.....
i'm not a lover of the shock spacer on the vtr, but each to their own, I tried it and didn't like it, now I have a set of roger ditchfield modded forks, 100% better feel and feedback, not to mention the forks don't dive and bottom out, which is always a bonus. plus they soak up the bumps and pot holes.
if you can spare the cash I highly recommend them. and an aftermarket rear shock, will the modifying never end....

The shock spacer on the bird works exceptionally well and really enhances the feel and turn in stability, even in the wet conditions.

OK, wound up the front forks a bit too much initially but I've backed them off a bit now and it's all good

I've put a 'normal' tank protector on but it's still scuffing a little further up. Easy to polish out at this stage but longer term I think it'll mark it more.

I need to get a bigger tank protector or I was think of a baglux tank cover maybe? If anyone has one in blue (or a complimentary colour) that'll fit a 19l tank, not sure if they are different, let me know!

Other than that I've found it does 42MPG on normal petrol when commuting but 46MPG on V-Power which is as good an excuse as any I must get out for an actual fun ride at some point!
