Drive chain tension

There's loose and loose I wish I'd taken a photo of the GSX11 I had before this, when I went to get it I was riding it out the guys drive before bringing it back and said wtf is that noise....the chain had about 5-6" of play ....we've all had them loose but personally never as bad
