Good advice already been given on your hesitation issue. Just to add (I don't think anyone else mentioned it) the spark plugs my be getting past their best,

Chris.

Yeah but there'll not be more than two that we actually like.

Welcome to the forum  I don't have much mechanical knowledge to add to this discussion so.. sure you're keyrings aren't tapping the top yoke or something to make the noise? :P

Good suggestion Virt - with the keyring tapping on the yoke.

Made me wonder if the "clicking" isn't his wife on the back "tutting loudly as he ain't going fast enough.......

Wow, lots of lovely replies to go at here, but would you believe it, since I wrote that it hasn't done it!

I did try cruising 55/60 mph in 5th and 6th but it feels like i'm making the bike work too hard to pull, it seems to feel just right in 4th.

It's definitely not the keyring :) I did however make a mental note to try new plugs as that sounds (and feels) distinctly possible.

Glad you like the picture of the missus, I actually posted that cos I thought it was a cool angle for the bike, best not tell her that though :)

Thank you all for your input, much appreciated

Jamie
