Had the day off yesterday and as my phone usb charger failed on the way home from Yorkshire I couldn't stop myself from just checking the local Aldi to see if they had any stock left....they didn't but the one across town did so I just couldn't stop myself :P

have you plugged it in your computer, mine had a 2 hour update and from what I had seen from playing with Stuarts nav before leaving Sunday, there are some personal preference changes I can do that he couldn't, so there seems to be a lot of updates.

I did the update. It didn't take the full two hours but it was a good 45 minutes at least.
I didn't check to see if it had twisty setting before I updated though so I'm not much help but it has it now. Is it the 340LM model?
Mine dropped another £20 when I got it to the till.

your looking for the wrong thing, it's called a curvy route :)

let us know once you have done the update, you need to register the sat nav to get the lifetime maps, and If you want to purchase others.

Just had a look on the manual and found this.

All you need to do is tell it to avoid "highways". That works. Just ask Watty....

its crashed when upgrading 3 times so far, , but it said that was just the map data part and the earlier upgrade section completed OK and still only 3 nav modes .Fastest, shortest, offroad!

will try the settings upgrade again

Try "shortest"

I can't see "curvey" on mine. I think it's just baked into the firmware.

It should have it, it shows it in the instructions.

I'm used to a tom tom and this Garmin is a little strange cause you programme your destination, then it will show some options to choose, one being GO! the other is route, if you select this you can chose fastest, curvy etc.

Bazza the pencil i'm using to write me directions down has gone blunt.

Any idea how I can rectify this.

Can't find it on the Indian takeaway menu I have in the draw...

Not working for me. What firmware do you have? Mine's 4.10 with map "Western Europe 2017.10"

ps. Ignore Mac, he's jealous.
