Fitting fireblade forks to my VTR

Hope it works out how you want it, always wanted to do something like this but getting spacers to fit everything can be really tricky.

Can I just confirm one or two things by any chance? There are quite a few topics on this but it is hard to determine what the best route is.

I have a six spoke wheel from a NC30 for the front. Very much wanted to keep it. I have been giving consideration to having fireblade forks at the front. In the ideal world I would like to keep my wheel and discs. Does a 96 or 97 set of forks and yokes fit straight in or not?

Tbh your money is better spent on getting the Vtr forks sorted by roger .
I had the blade front on my first one and wished I never bothered .
Any front end you fit will be crap unless you have it setup except the rsv front end ! That's just mental good

iv been thinking the same for about 3 years. about fitting a blade front end. i got my storm forks sorted (plr racing) and they are better. then this new one iv been told has Roger forks on it and from the little ride iv had on it, such a difference i gave to say...

id say as much as the handling, the blade front end would be for looks as much as the handling ...

The blade front end looks better but will need to be revalved and sprung to suit .
As I said earlier it's easier and far cheaper to get roger to sort the standard forks .

I would only fit a "new front end if it came with radial brakes and a lighter wheel .

The gen two rsvr ,ohlins forks and brembo brakes would be top of my list with a set of oz wheels .

No the easiest option is have roger sort yours

I had std forks revalved and with new springs, and went to fireblade forks with the same treatment. Difference was close to zero. Proper upgrade was new billet lower triple, which is not very easy to get. I think only real advantage on blade forks is adjustable compression (from 94), but this is not essential. If I do it again, I would go for rogered std forks and new triple.

Yes. Sorry I meant to say easiest blade option. One of the reasons I'm interested in it is the looks. possibly a silly reason but we all like things looking nice.

Must say the VTR looks really good with those Fireblade forks on and it's in the fastest colour, always a benefit!
Just me getting a TL vibe with the black front fender?
