16/41 sprockets going up two rear
Re: 16/41 sprockets going up two rear
Good point, you'll get charged the same for a 106 links as a shorter one.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.
Re: 16/41 sprockets going up two rear
All good points lads that I have considered, thanks. Would be nice to get longer then take a couple off it if I think it's too long, but I know that I like to take the path of least resistance so less work the better. I might just stay standard after all and stay in lower gear. Less chance of popping an unprepared for wheelie and flying off the rear

Maybe swearing will help
Re: 16/41 sprockets going up two rear
This is my third attempt at this post...(frozen PC, login issue)
So I typed an email to the supplier saying I might just stick with standard after all and...forget to press send! I found out the next day when I saw a letter from the nice chap at the shop saying he will send standard length chain and 43 tooth sprocket (as per our previous discussion). My fate has been decided.
So if drop an accidental wheelie I'll tell the constable,
'It's not my fault, its my large rear that did it!'

I'm glad a decision has been made at last, even if it wasn't by you

Chris.

Re: 16/41 sprockets going up two rear
I have been thinking about the 43 tooth sprocket also. Now I have a new DID standard kit, ( about 2000km) For the position of the wheel shaft i´m sure that the 43 tooth sprocket fits with the standard chain. ( to back).
I´m not planing to go at 250km/h, and actually at 120km/h the engine sounds nicer in 5 gear than in 6 gear, so seems to be a good choice if you plan to ride under 200km/h.
Maybe , since the kit is new now I could change the sprocket now for a 43 tooth.

I don't know how big the one I've got is but I can measure it and let you know.
And since most of my riding is under 140km/hr, then yes I think it will be great.
Cheers
