Been in Saigon (now called Ho Chi Mhin City) for last 3 days.

Up at the Cu Chi Tunnels that the Viet Cong used to ambush the USA troops in the war…… got the chance to fire 10 rounds with an AK47 for only £18……. Would be rude not to .

Then a night tour in the city on 25yr old Vespas ….. Mrs McQ said it was less frightening than being on the back of my KTM……. I am offended Then next day we went to the war museum ….. that was emotionally draining to say the least…. We clearly never learn that there are no winners, only losers, and that was before we went into the room that focussed on the continued birth deformities (in both Vietnam & USA) from the dioxin (now believed to be the most toxic chemical that man has created) that was in the Agent Orange defoliant they sprayed all over the jungle to kill the trees.

Paulas niece was in that hostel in Laos the night the dodgy shots were being given for free…. For some very uncharacteristic reasons, she didn’t have any! They all got moved out by the police so they could start investigating….. that girl must have a guardian angel
