You know what, I would keep the disks Gold and paint the callipers Red.

Defo a long termer this bike now flatty!
hope to one day see it bombing down the lane looks mega I'd love a project like this
Neighbour has a GPZ900 in his yard been sat under a hole riddled cover for about 7 years will need a lot of work and sh1t replacing but might try blag it off him for 50 - 100 quid this winter to restore it to its top gun glory

The upper fork legs will be black and red caliper with black disc centre

To mush Black with the Red does not suit it to well even though it's used in Nature with things like Coral snakes or flying bug type things. It's a Danger sign warning you stay away.
I would leave it the standard colours but change the Brakes to Red, especially as they are Brembo. IMO tha's what looks best.

Been out with the paint booth sorting out the fork lowers and putting a coat of paint on the calipers
I will be getting the calipers blasted so a quick coat of any paint will do to show the effect
This is Hammerite special materials undercoat
