Hahahaha I don't have any fake tan on my crotch or inner thighs, but maybe it's allergic to my dashing good looks and killer personality?

Cheers for comments chaps, she does still make me smile.

Well I started to strip my carbs out to give everything a once over - Choke cables are lubed - no splits on hoses - set the fuel screws back to factory 1 turn out on front and 1.25 turns out on rear (the front was about 3 turns out - I don't think I set it there!!!!).

Ended up getting carried away...

Rear shock came out and lengthened by 1mm.

Exhaust system removed.

Fairings removed.

Carbs removed.

coolant drained & flushed.

Cam covers removed & checked valve clearances, GLAD I DID!

Even though I checked them less than 5k miles ago, one of them is out of tolerance at 0.12mm. I think it's a 200 shim (broke my verniers), so if anyone has a 195 I'd like to hear from you :)

I no longer have a car, so I'm not sure how I'm getting to work tomorrow... :wtf:   Image

then had to go to a physio appointment to see if I was OK to drive a car......... wife was at work so I took the little Kawasaki on the basis that my knee has no pain and full range of movement and the kawker is light and would put no strain on my knee if I had to stop it failing over, and changing gear isn't exactly hard work on your knee joint.

anyway, he says I am OK to drive, so I went back to work for a rest
What a beauty! I'm going to find myself a little 125 smoker project soon. Bet it's fun riding that around?

Oh yes indeed.

Part of the reason I bought this house last year. There is a workshop behind the round window, and a full length carpeted loft above it for storing spares, a sofa a rowing machine and a beer fridge up there too :D

Had a wonderful blast up to Dargaville. 370ks of sun and open roads. New top speed for me. Happy days.

Did you get sorted? If I knew before today you could have borrowed my Transalp. Cycled by your gaff on Tues and it looked a bit of a building site!
