just got her all washed and my mountain bike both wet and dirty in the past two days used that muc off stuff from halfords spot on stuff then just as i finished weve got hail stones in south shields bloody weather

today i fitted 12 titanium brake disc bolts, that means i can have another big mac meal
also refitted macs battery to my bike after 2 weeks in spain....
and i fitted a bright led park light bulb, but i also found out i have a wiring problem....no headlight or indicators, i reckon water has got into it somewhere, even tho the bike had a rain cover on for the last couple of weeks. i've checked the fuses, there ok, and the headlight flasher works so i know its not a blown headlight bulb...

Fitted manual ccts. Always amazes me that I can do it in less than an hour.

That's an odd combination. I've become quite familiar with the loom during my alarm fitting.

The headlamp is fed via the dim/dip switch from the "off" side of the starter switch. That way the headlamp load is removed from the battery when you press the starter switch. The starter switch and headlamps runs off fuse C, 20A.

The indicator flashing output is the grey wire on the flasher relay. Stick a 21watt bulb between that and ground (with this ignition on) and it should start flashing. If so then the problem is probably the switch itself. The green on the relay is ground, the white/green +12v from fuse D, 10A. The same fuse runs the brake light, so might be worth checking that still works.

Fuses A is always live, the others are all switched from the ignition.

Unfortunately the one bit I really need on the circuit diagram is missing, the headlamp/sidelight switch... Damn always on EU directive wiring diagram! So I can't help with that part of the circuit. I don't even have the "passing" flasher on this diagram!

Anyway, it's probably water in the switches (or spiders and cobwebs as I had)... WD40 time!

Had the carbs off for a clean and tidy up
Took some pics of the nice stacks next to standard so you lot can drool over them lol
Refitted standard air box lid and snorkel but filled the foam with resin to harden and smooth it out and also to make the induction sound louder
Just waiting for postman to bring my new screen so I can tinker some more

good pictures to compare the length of the HRC bits vs standard, you can see how they flow more air and have the length to bump up midrange

looks like someone has had your carbs stripped down in the past as the joining plates on each side are painted black when the should be passivated steel

Finally got round to fitting the bellypan
