On the 27th jan my son came to live with me and today I got a letter from the schools saying all schools in my area are full .
Also today I got turned down for permeant early's at work as I don't have "proof" my son lives with me :-(.
For fook sakes all I'm trying to do is give my son the best new start I can and all I hit is walls

Doing fork seals on a cb1300, before draining oil I undo/loosen the bolts at the bottom, 1 cracks nice and easy the other doesn't really crack but turns all be it a little tight, so the damper rod is spinning I think, hold the stanchion then turn bolt a bit more and Pop bolt goes, oil comes out under full pressure, bolt was just stiff in the thread the damper rod wasn't turning. my left side got covered in horrible old stinking old fork oil from just below my neck down to my boots, went right through my jacket, overalls and t shirt, got my cards in my pocket too and almost got through my baccy pouch 8O . Also was all over the work bench and tools, 2 cans of brake cleaner over my jacket and overalls helped get the worst off, took half hour to clean the bench and tools.

Now one of the fork seals is so corroded in the lower that the stanchion won't come out, well it will but it's going to take some extreme measures

Now that is the real shitter. How long have you been working for/loyal to them!!! You would think they could be a bit more supportive especially when it comes to family matters. Barstards....I expect they don't care and see it as tuff shite. If you don't like it..leave. Your easily replaced and possibly replaced with someone on lower wages. What goes around comes around ay. Treat them like they have treated you. Can't you hack the GPS, block it and go on the skive. Actually you can, there are devices out there for that. Check out the car criminal hardware. Or hit them where it hurts in their profits.

Here you go.

Are you volunteering

@popkat I know how that feels mate. I have done something similar with oil based paint and ended up spending all day cleaning the mess. At least it didn't get you baccy. :biggrin

I've been there 9 years and I'm on a better contract ££ than the newer starters and they have been trying to get me to leave for a few years because of that .
I am looking for alternative employment as when I do get the documents they require it won't be long till I put a foot wrong and they can sack me ,I've seen it happen many times to others over the years .

What a sad state of affairs. Companies/corporations treat their workers like crap and they wonder why people don't do their job properly. Fools... they would better off paying slightly more for a more experience employee than training up a newbie and paying them peanuts. Oh well it will be their loss in the end.

That's the biggest problem there isnt it, with so many applicants applying for jobs these days. They have you by the balls for now and they know it. Keep at it mate, chin up, and keep your eyes open for a better opportunity. You never know what's around the next corner. You may get a phone call from one of the local schools saying that someone has dropped out and there's a position for your boy now

I guess that is another thing that is universal across all borders and national boundaries, "every company treats their workers like dirt!"
