Done around another 50miles on it today but solo, feel like im really getting into the groove with it now but roads damp n patchy in places but wound it up to some illegalish speeds in places, feels very solid, stable and secure but still feels it turns well. Brakes a bit wooden, suspect thats the pads but as you say, no doubt a very under rated bike, which is great as theh make a fantastic value used buy, improving on Its all round abilities will cost a lot more ££ to the budget thats for sure.

Started the Storm and ran it up to NWT, it started well.

The battery has been on the bike connected up to the battery monitor/charger since the last start up approx 6wks ago.

After the run up to NWT (Normal Working Temperature) I tried a few more starts with the engine still warm, only four in total. The voltage meter showed the volts drop to 8.6 volts on one start up, plus on another the engine kicked back on the starter clutch. Time to invest in a new battery I think :)

Been out on my LC today, bloody brilliant, I had some carb work done to it and refurbed the fuel tap over Winter and its so much nicer to ride, rumour has it, it may be warmer & sunnier tomorrow so ill be aiming to MOT my 500 try and get out on the storm for a couple of hours.

Had a blast today, spent the morning trying to make a model glider with my niece, out of roof insulation hahaha, great fun, the went for a ride, it was overcast and chilly to begin with, but after 30mins the sun came out to play, visited a track i'd never been to before, Calafat circuit, saw some BSB boys doing there winter testing
then back through the mountains at silly speeds with a mahooosive grin on my face....

Ventured out for a few miles on the 500 today, I have some quiet roads on my doorstop and chanced my arm as the MOT run out last month (yeh, I know) and I was keen to see if the work id had done on the carbs had paid off.

Of course within a few hundred yards I had a police car up my backside, pulled up at the next available turning and waited for it to follow me in but it didnt, I guess the general plod cars are not ANPR equipped.

Bit of a pisser as whilst it is better, some issues remain but I havent the time, money & interest to sort for now, ill get it on a dyno for set up later in the year.

Headed over to my mates for a rideout, his TDR continued to let the 2 stroke side down when the gear linkage broke, I think he managed around 1.5 miles round trip..

Absolutely loving the VTR, aside from the fuel consumption, from a full tank, I did 64 high-ish speed miles(90-130)((kmh officer) on a mix of A roads and a thrash around MK before the fuel light came on..!

Its managed to vibrate and lose at least 2 belly pan retaining bolts each time ive taken it out now..Ive loctited and added a locknut to the replacements, hopefully that will sort it.
