Dad and me removed the wheels from his Bantam today, he is having them rebuilt with new rims, spokes and the existing hubs and brake plates blasted & repainted, with new tubes and tyres to finish the job.

As the rest of the bike is in great condition, it should look very posh when its all done.

Did a bit of a mammoth trip, left home 8pm yesterday and drove up to Kent, parked the van in a truck layby about 1.30am and tried to get a few hours kip, locked the doors and after falling asleep the proximity alarm went off when I moved, happened 3 times before I gave up and left it unlocked, a very poor few hours sleep. In the back of my van were 2 bikes, Both Suzuki's, my 750 Katana and GSX1100, I had sold them both to different people who both live in/near Canterbury, strange coincidence eh. got back home just before 6pm tonight. not worked out exact mileage yet but it's over 550 miles, 2 x deliveries, lots of coffee stops all in 22 hours..
I'll sleep well tonight

I have no idea, right now it's staying but I'm skint so who knows, nice to get money from selling bikes but some goes to debt clearing and some to :shh: :shh:

Oh alright then i'll come clean, I've bought my old FZ1 Fazer back.. Had it new in 2009, sold it 14 month later but not by choice, a friend bought it and now he's buying a new MT10 so it's coming home, left with about 6k and now has nearly 32k but condition as tip top as he's looked after it really well... I will use this for some longer trips which I'm hoping to do as I just don't get out on a bike enough.

a couple of days ago, I had a friend pop round and weld the front subframe, as the top rhs had broken loose, a real shame as it had not long been powder coated and looked mint, well it doesn't look mint anymore, but at least it's nice and strong again....
