carbon engine covers fitted to the blue(soon to be) bike aswell as fitted new front discs and started fitting new calipers....

Put air in the feckin tyres cos the lazy arsed previous owner clearly couldn't be bothered! Funny, goes round corners now!

I took my bike out to try the new Bridgestone T30 Evo tyres that I've had fitted, but an interesting fault developed. I headed off, realised I'd forgotten my glasses, and turned around after 30 seconds. When I headed back out, I suddenly had no power and the bike would not rev. After a moment of panic and confusion, I realised the rubber grip on the throttle had come loose and was slipping (really slipping) over the inner tube, so I was unable to actually open the throttle.

Interestingly, this was a new OEM part that I bought a year back, all I can think is that a combination of the silicone lube that I used on the bar/tube interface had combined with the incredible humidity that we are going through to dissolve the old glue. I cleaned the tube up (meths was the best) and re-glued the rubber with some Ados F2; that won't be shifting in a hurry!

Helped Geoff fit mccts to his rusty Vtr . Felt good to get my hands on a storm again

SOLD IT... ...gutted i have to say.

i just couldnt be riding to work everyday any longer, just a little to fragile for that in rain/cold/snow

so my liitle divvy 600 went....

iv still both of them in bits at the min ..

Received the last of the prep for spring bits...... So up on the stand, drain the oil and lay everything out....
I left out the rest of the oil change as you guys can imagine that bit.....




Not a whole lot to do but some dis-assembly required.....




re-torqued the stem bearings and put all that mess back together.....
The sub-filters are obvious.
The starter valves are not for the reason most get a set. No I did not crack the plastic nuts..... my set is 20yrs old and they are still fine.
In my case, the starter valves themselves wore out. One more thing to keep in mind as these bikes age.
Can you tell which one is the old bit??

I went on a bike meet in Milton Keynes today, a Chopper bike meet, very well organised, great bunch of people..Couldnt stop smiling all day, was a real laugh, better than many a motorbike meet ive been on!

Start, middle and end at a pub, whats not to like!
