try a 10mm bolt marty, wind it in, put tape on the thread and wind it out. Then measure from the end to the tape.
missing the noise, not the vibes. However never say never!

OEM 10mm dia x6mm long with 1.25mm pitch thread
So the m10 one shold be what you want - and the SS hex grub screw will only stick out 4mm or so.

It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others.

post Skiing emotional crash
had 4 days in Austria in some of the best skiing conditions you could hope for, great bunch of lads, covering up to 50miles a day, fresh snow, drink, food, fit birds and sunshine.
using my Garmin cycle GPS to look the runs and got a peak speed of 51mph
and I am a fairly average skier........ just not afraid to crash
as you can imagine... work is a bit of an anti climax

Riding in this morning. The prize for first Pratt of the year goes to the cager in front of me who threw his cigarette out the window.
Needles to say, I let him know my displeasure at the next set of lights

If possible, pick it up, tap on his window, throw it on his back seat. Tell him "I think you may have dropped this".Pete.L wrote:Riding in this morning. The prize for first Pratt of the year goes to the cager in front of me who threw his cigarette out the window.![]()

Always worth a chuckle., watching him (it's always a him) dislocate his shoulder trying to get to it.
if you keep your bar end level with his door he can't get out to reach it either, until the lights change.
Some days it's the little things that help you through 'til bedtime.
It's not falling off, it's an upgrade opportunity.

Re: What's annoyed you today??
I think enough is enough now, I won't be offering to help anyone out with parts unless I meet them in person, in the last 3 days, I've found out that 2 parcels are missing and I've been fined £5 by myhermes as they insist that a parcel was overweight. the two parcels that have gone missing could end up costing me well over £100, and one of them was to help a friend, the other was a small sale which stood me in no profit, but it looks like i'll have to offer a refund.
so that's it for me, from now on i'll try and use a decent courier when i'm selling an item (although that seems to be impossible in that particular industry)
it really annoys me tho because it's not like I want to stop helping fellow bikers.....

That's crap news marty. I've had various problems with various couriers but have to say no trouble with myhermes so far. I've heard UPS are good but I haven't used them yet.

Try collect + - they are great for uk parcels and all you do is buy a label on line then drop the parcel at a local store like Asda and you can track etc.
I also use a courier broker called Parcel Flight as they get best prices.
Just my experiences
